At 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, people from around the Lake Region started to gather in front of the Old Post Office, the former Federal Building, and Lake Region Heritage Center for a second “Hands Off” protest.

By noon on Saturday more people had joined them and the group broke up into four to stand at the four corners of 4th Street and 4th Avenue.

The message was similar to the first protest from April 5, just like this poster says, “It’s not about Left vs. Right; it’s about Right vs. Wrong!”

When everyone had joined a group on Devils Lake’s main street, there were even more attending this second protest than the first. This one’s theme was “No Kings for America – then or now!” and “Hands off our vote” in response to the proposed changes to US voting laws that appear to be targeting women voters.
