Joanne M. Close, age 65, of Devils Lake, ND, passed away April 7, 2025. She was born on Feb. 18, 1960, in Devils Lake, ND, to Charles and Betty (Torkildson) Grafsgaard. Joanne was raised and educated in Devils Lake, where she built a life filled with love and service to others.
Hollyw Peterson
Hollys Peterson, 78, of Minnewaukan, died April 2 of liver disease. At her direction, there was no funeral or memorial service. She planned to donate her body to the UND Medical School, but that did not occur because the medical school placed a hold on accepting bodies. Cremation took place, and her ashes will be interred in the Minnewaukan Cemetery.
