Patriot Fish Fest brings awareness to veteran’s issues with fishing tournament
Veteran’s Day isn’t the only time servicemen and women should get recognition. Many of the issues and setbacks veterans face include homelessness, PTSD, physical medical issues, and suicide. This past weekend at the Woodland Resort, American Heroes Outdoors Television held its annual Patriot Fish Fest.

Chronic absenteeism high among Native American students in ND; DLPS finds ways to address issues
Chronic absenteeism causes a huge burden on schools, teachers, and the absent students. One group is seeing a higher than average chronic absenteeism rate according to data compiled by the Associated Press and non-profit media Indian County Today. Data was compiled from 2018-2023 looking at 34 states and the District of Columbia.

They learned this hymn in English as they do today. The Dakota people translated the English words into Dakota.
